I. RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Programme Planning, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation
Monitor the execution of all existing SMS programmes and new SMS businesses in
Vietnam with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Inform the Management Team of
unforeseen delays or problems;
Manage the monitoring and evaluation plan of the Programmes/Businesses and ensure its
implementation;
Establish timelines and prepare data collection templates
Ensure delivery of resources and results according to planned targets.
Support SMS Vietnam Director in the production of technical and other relevant reports,
making sure we capture the project’s progress and impacts.
2. Coordination with project partners; service/product suppliers
The SMS Vietnam Project Manager will be expected to:
Lead or support partner negotiations including agreements;
Identify and contract technical consultants as needed;
Support contract redaction with local partners; consultants
Coordinate with the Management Team to align the proposed staff, activities and interventions with the development of a compliant and competitive budget and cost proposal.
Be responsible for logistic organisation of workshops, meetings and trainings and assist organisation of field visits
3. Other specific tasks
Set up and monitor demonstrations to show; promote practices or products in key project
areas
Coordinate ground activities for the logistics in our fertilizer business when required
Support other activities lead by SMS according to project priorities and deadlines, upon
discussion with the Director

II. QUALIFICATION ; SKILLS REQUESTED
- Degree: Master/ Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Agronomy/Forestry
- Experience: 5-7 years’ experience or professional experience in project/program management within a public or private organization
- Experience in work plan development and results frameworks, monitoring and evaluation is desirable
- Good understanding of sustainability approaches
- Well-developed organizational skills and an ability to handle multiple tasks
- Good analytical skills
- Bilingual: Vietnamese ; English
- Good communication skills in both languages (written and oral)
- Good skill in using Microsoft package; project management tools, coffee technical standards
- Coffee market knowledge is a plus
